The deer, mostly Fallow and Sika, are raised on 400 acres of pasture and woodland and spend their whole lives free to roam in a picturesque semi-wild environment. Other game is also a speciality.

Perry Court Farm was taken on by the Brockman family in 1953 with the specific intention of creating an organic and if possible bio-dynamic farm. Prior to 1953 Perry Court Farm had been split up and fragmented by former owners. When the Brockman family took it over in 1953 they started to put the farm back together, buying neighbouring fields back as and when possible.

The farm land is registered as organic with the Soil Association as well as bio-dynamic through the Demeter symbol scheme.

The Betts family have been farming since 1495!

The dairy farm was set up back in 1950. In those days they were milking Aryshire cows a wonderfully hardy cow and very much suited to the inclement weather often experienced high up on top of the North Downs of Kent overlooking the historic village of Wrotham.

Cheese making began as idea in 2000. The Winterdale cheese dairy is housed in a traditional oak framed barn located at the head of a picturesque valley on the North edge of the family farm, which old local maps identify as 'Winterdale Shaw'.

Awarded one of the highest accolades of Gold in the world cheese awards.
